Next to structural stability, the most important challenge for our wastewater network is its leak tightness

The job of our sewer conduits is to carry effluent from our homes to the sewage-treatment plant. On the way, there must be no leakage of wastewater and no ingress of groundwater. That’s what our wastewater network is all about. In the past, when a section of the system no longer met these requirements, it would often be dug up and replaced. For over 20 years now, the ISTT (International Society for Trenchless Technology) has campaigned for no-dig rehabilitation, replacement, renovation and repair.
